Day 01: Arrive
at Leh airport by morning flight from Delhi. This flight is one of the most
sensational flights in the world. On a clear day from one side of the aircraft
can be seen in the distance the peaks of K2, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum and on
the other side of the aircraft, so close that you feel you could reach out and
touch it, is the Nun Kun massif.
Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. You would take a little
time to settle in and acclimatize since you have gone from a relatively low
elevation in New Delhi to over 11,000 feet! During the afternoon, you can walk
through the old town, beneath the Leh Palace, to allow you to get oriented to
this fascinating city. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 02: After breakfast proceeds for a sightseeing of centuries old Alchi monastery, enroute visit Basgo Palace and Likir Monastery. The present gompa in Likir dates back to the 18th century. It contains huge clay images of Buddha and various old manuscripts. It also houses an interesting collection of Thankas, old religious and domestic costumes and implements etc. Arrive Alchi by the afternoon. Visit the monastery at Alchi; spend the afternoon exploring the village. Overnight Camp.
Day 03: Breakfast. Return to Leh; visit the monastery at Lamayuru enroute. Lamayuru has fascinating caves carved out of the mountainside. Also known as Yung Drung (Swastika) it is sited on a high promonotory overlooking the village and valley. For sheer spectacle value no other gompa can match Lamayuru. Overnight hotel.
Day 04: Breakfast at hotel. Get ready take a drive to Tsomoriri Lake (set at 4572 M in the desolate landscape of Rupshu, is famous as the breeding ground of the rare bar-headed geese, and home to a number of other rare species of birds. The small village of KORZOK, with its hilltop monastery, is the only habitation in the area, which is otherwise inhabited by the nomadic Chang-pa tribe) via Push, Chumathang. Take a walk around the lake and enjoy the scenic beauty of it. Overnight at Camp.
Day 05: After a leisurely breakfast, walk around the lake drive back to Leh. Overnight hotel.
Day 06: After breakfast proceed for an unforgettable drive to the top of the world's highest motor able mountain pass Khardungla, at a height of about 18,300 Feet. Enjoy the spectacular views of the snow covered Himalayas all around. Return by the afternoon. Afternoon free to explore the local markets on your own. Overnight hotel.
Day 07: Transfer to the airport to fly to Delhi.

Cancellation charges are 30 days before arrival date 25%, 21 days before arrival date 50%, 15 days before arrival date 90%, 7 days before arrival date 100% of the total itinerary cost.
